Try outs .... Skin Care

My Treasure Chest of Skin Care Products
I have recently got a couple of new skin care products so wanted to give you a little insight into my favourite old timers and newbies. I believe skin needs different products so it doesn't become used to one formula. Having struggled with eczema for about 10 years now - i am always changing my products - many are prescription steroid and greasy yucky cream but once the flares settle i can use "normal cream" - I use a mix between Astral and Body Shop Hemp Body Butter.

Luckily i very rarely get eczema on my face so am able to use different products. Lets start with my 'Golden Oldies'

Nivea 2 in 1 £2.51
Olay face scrub £2.99

I mainly use the Nivea cleanser and toner on a daily basis - Its very hydrating and soothing and quick to use. I simple massage this in and then wash off with a damp cotton bud. Lovely.
The Olay face scrub has quite large size micro-beads for  cleaning dirt from your skin. Its not the most gentle but i really like that about it. Having dry skin it is often really great to get a good scrub that will remove dead skin cells ready for new ones.

Dermalogica dry skin starter set £23.10
I have had this set for a while now and it is fabulous. I tend to only use this when i notice my skin is in need of some TLC. It makes a clear difference to my skin - relieving any tight dryness i may be feeling.

Day Cream £2.93
Night cream £3.04

These Nivea day and night creams are my everyday moisturiers. They are very reasonably priced and can be picked up in most superstores. I do not have problem skin on my face so these work well for me.

The Treats

Eeeekk Scary! Haha

Mudd £2.98
So i love face masks. I try to do one once a week to remove any impurities and build up on my skin.  The Mudd Sea Mask in one of my favourite regular masks. It contains nature marine proteins, minerals and vitamins in 100% clay. The clay absorbs excess oil and draws out deep dirt and makeup in the skin (i also see a couple of pimples after using this! Better out than in!) Sea kelp, seaweed and Irish moss hydrate the skin.
It says this will do 5 but i swear i've done more than that and still have some to go. I know they do a mud mask as well which i am eager to try. I picked this up from Sainsburys.

I also use a mixture of Superdrug masks so will keep you up dated on my success (or lack of!) with those.

 The Newbies ...

Clinique introductory set £20.00
This 3 step set from Clinique has already won my heart. Every part feels divine and you really don't need to use much at all. I am really really pleased to add this to my skin care treasures.

Overpriced - there are better ones £9.00.
P.S this is travel size which is size of your tweezers

MMMmmmm now i wanted to fall in love with Urban Decay BB cream so much but i have to admit to being bitterly disappoint. This is pricey so i had big hopes. I expected to see some difference when i applied it to my skin - or maybe at least feel the difference. I saw neither. I like BB creams and have tried a few - I don't always want to do a face full of foundation and am often just visiting my horses so love to just pop on a tinted balm. I won't reaching for this.

Can you see any difference?
L - Nude
R - BB cream on

All opinions are my own and how i personally found these products.
