Lets Party !!

Well Happy New Year My Pretties

I hope you all ended 2014 in style, whether it was curled up on sofa with someone special or partying the night away with your friends and family. I personally did a bit of both - went to my cousins house to see in the New Year but left early so we could be with my poochy Boo who is scared of the fireworks. (Ahhhh - bless him)
So this is the look i was rocking NYE
(With Flash)

Now this is a much heavier makeup look than i normally would wear (even to go out) but as it was New Year i thought 'Hey why not!' The key statement here is the eye makeup - I started with a 'I Heart Makeup' primer which i got free with the #Selfie palette. I then used a matte base colour from the MUA Undress Me Too palette. It was then full steam ahead with one of my favourite Sleek palette's 'Vintage Romance'

Sleek 'Vintage Romance' £7.99
1. Pretty in Paris
2. A vow in Venice
3. Marry in monte Carlo
4. Forever in Florence

Max Factor Waterproof Colour X-Pert 'Lilac
£6.99
The 4 colours are blended to create a gradual transition to a deep purple. I used tape from outer corner of my eye to eyebrow to create a sharp line of eyeshadow. Alternatively you can buy shadow shields (which i've heard are good - though ive never used!) If you'd like to see how i do this please comment and i'll do a post on my 'cheap' way!

I lined my eyes with the above liquid eyeliner. I really like this type of brush on liquid eyeliner as it gives me the most control. I've tried the thinner brushes and the pen ones and they just aren't as good - in my opinion - everyones different. This is a wicked waterproof eyeliner thats a gorgeous purple colour with a shimmery finish. It comes off when rubbed by holds really well and no smudges once dry.

MakeUp Revolution Vivid Baked Blush £2.50
'One for playing games'

MUA Bare lipstick £1.00

I contoured using my NYX Illuminator and bronzer which feature in my previous posts and the blusher i chose had gorgeous purple undertones - loving Vivid Baked Blushers.
I finished the look with the above MUA lippie - i was hesitant to use this as it was a really low cost lipstick but the colour was perfect so i gave it a go. It was creamy and had a lovely pigment. It didn't last long on my lips but for the ££ you can always reapply.

The falses i'm wearing were a bit awkward to apply. I hardly ever wear lashes as i think they can over power the makeup (plus i have long lashes anyway). My problem with these was the band at the end, to put glue on, was very thin so i have to spread some of the glue onto the lash so there was enough to hold it on. It all was a bit messy but i did it in the end.

Eylure Feline Fierce £3.95
